Palm Sunday: Saddle Up and Celebrate
On Palm Sunday, we looked at Jesus’ triumphal entry (Matthew 21) and were reminded that the King came in humility—not to be served, but to give His life.
The call was clear:
- Trust God before you have clarity
- See your life as part of His bigger story
- Live with personal obedience
- Celebrate—because it’s His parade, not ours
Our role is simple: take Jesus a little further down the road.
The morning culminated in an exciting Kingdom Come update:
- 2,629 households engaged (over 7,000 people!)
- Hundreds of first-time and returning givers
- $12.8M+ already given
- First gift: $500,000 to fund Bible translation for 700,000 people
The room erupted in celebration—because this is bigger than us. We’re part of what God is doing.
Framed by a powerful contrast between illusion and reality, Butch and Karen led the Foundations class through Ecclesiastes 5:8–20, revealing the tension between what we chase and what truly satisfies.
On one side stands the illusion of wealth—where, as the handout highlighted, wealth often produces worry rather than peace. Solomon makes it clear: “He who loves money will not be satisfied with money” (Ecclesiastes 5:10). Desire increases, worry multiplies, and the more we hold, the more we fear losing.
But the passage turns the corner.
On the other side is the reality of true gain—where contentment grows and joy is received as a gift from God. “Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them… this is the gift of God” (Ecclesiastes 5:19). When we recognize that God owns it all, we loosen our grip and begin to live with open hands.
Through both Scripture and personal testimony, Butch and Karen reminded us that what may look like a financial sacrifice can become one of life’s greatest spiritual gains.
The takeaway is clear:
True gain is not what we accumulate… but what we receive.
This lesson calls us to move from striving to trusting—and to discover the peace that comes from living for what truly lasts.

Walking Together Through Future Grace
This month we pause to review Section I from February and look ahead to Section II: Free and Future Grace for March. Together we are learning that grace is not only God’s gift for the past, but His strength for the days still ahead.
March’s reading points us toward deeper dependence on the Lord, reminding us that His grace is sufficient for weary hearts, humble faith, and every step yet to come.
