Celebrating Dee Dee Fincher - A Life Well Lived!
Prayer update on Bob Varnadoe:
Our class has been praying for Bob since January of this year as our dear friend and class member June Hamilton has so faithfully presented prayer needs for Bob along with their daughter Lanette and son Brian. Bob had been diagnosed with Frontal Lobe Deterioration due to strokes which he suffered over past 2 years. Bob passed away peacefully at home and resting in the arms of Jesus. We’re so excited to launch FLOURISH: A Mentoring Journey for the women of Houston’s First Baptist Church. Born out of Passion City Church, FLOURISH is a one-year commitment that connects women in a curriculum-based mentoring relationship to encourage and challenge one another in their walks with Jesus. FLOURISH calls women to a higher standard of living following the commands in Titus 2:3-5, a God-filled life for the sake of the gospel.

Ignite the Fire!
Wherever you are in your journey, the God of the universe is excited to help you take the next step. Join together with other men for an action-packed time of adventure, inspiration, and connection at the beautiful Pineywoods Retreat Center located in Woodlake, TX – about two hours north of Houston. This retreat is for men 18 years and older from any of our campuses – and guests, too.
The theme this year is “Ignite the Fire!” and we’ll unpack it together in three keynote sessions and some impactful Ignite Group sessions where men of all ages connect together.
Our retreat speaker for the weekend will be Kenny Luck, the Pastor at Crossline Church in Laguna Hills, CA.
The prayer is that every man will discover:
- a refined vision for his life
- a restored commitment to courageous living
- a renewed connection with each other
- a set of practical tools to journey ahead

- You will be placed into a group of 3 class members.
- Each participant (Individual or Couple) hosts 1 event
- When you host you invite 1 prospect
- When it is your time to host you decide the activity
ideas for activities:
- host a dinner or dessert @ home and/or games
- meet at a restaurant
- arrange an activity, ie: play top golf, bowling, frisbee golf, attend a high school football game, any activity that stimulates conversation
