Our Biblical Foundations Life Bible Study class was thankful to have Dr. Bruce Fong teach while Chris was traveling Sunday. Bruce picked up from the scripture he taught a couple of weeks earlier. His very insightful teaching was from 1 Thessalonians 5:19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies, 21but test everything; hold fast what is good. 22Abstain from every form of evil.

Thank you, Nancy Koslan for sharing the following ministry need with our Biblical Foundations class:

One of HFBC's mission trips was to Little Eden Children's Home in Kenya which I was blessed to be able to go on a few years ago. Some of the pictures in the lobby at the Loop were taken on this mission trip which continues to be a part of our mission opportunities each year.

Mike Eden went on a mission trip himself years ago and came home to Hockley, TX and told his wife "I knew what we are going to do for the rest of our lives."

He began petitioning the government in Kenya for permission to purchase some land with a building that could be used as an orphanage. Through many long years and numerous obstacles from the Kenyan government, Mike was finally able to make the purchase and renovate the building which is now Little Eden Children's Home.

Below is a letter form Mike and Sylvia Eden asking that we share it with our friends. I wanted to share the letter with our Biblical Foundations class.
