Summary of the lesson:
Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy—from both Old and New Testament perspectives. Beginning with God’s rest in Genesis and moving through Exodus, Leviticus, and the Gospels, this lesson unpacks the theological, historical, and personal significance of the Sabbath. Reflecting on its transformation into the Lord’s Day in light of Christ’s resurrection, and consider how believers today can find true rest in Jesus. Through Scripture, reflection, and heartfelt honesty, we are all challenged to ask: Why do I keep the Sabbath? What does it look like to truly rest and worship? Join us as we journey toward a deeper understanding of God's gift of Sabbath rest, and what it means to live that out with joy and purpose.

This Week March 23rd:
"From Generation to Generation: The Power of Honor "
A Study on Exodus 20:12 an interactive lesson facilitated by Butch and Karen Butcher.
More Than a Childhood Rule—A Lifelong Calling.
This week, we dive into the Fifth Commandment: *“Honor your father and your mother…” It’s not just for kids—and it doesn’t expire when we grow up. Whether you’re caring for aging parents, mentoring adult children, or setting an example for grandchildren, this command touches every generation. Together, we’ll reflect on what honor looks like today, share wisdom from life’s journey, and rediscover how obedience to this command blesses families—and leaves a legacy. Don’t miss this meaningful conversation.

Spring 2025 Focus Implementing a Class wide Evangelism Initiative Through Personal Invitations. (see sample script below to include key points for the purpose of inviting someone The Lord places along your path).

Action Steps: Prayerfully assume we are all “Greeters”— class members commit to noticing and engaging guests each week. Challenge ourselves to personally invite at least one new person this Spring Season. Follow up—Ensure guests receive a warm follow-up message (text/call/note) after attending. Encourage ourselves to sit with a new or unchurched person during worship services.
How This Glorifies God:
It fulfills the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20)
and creates an environment of hospitality and love, reflecting Christ’s call to welcome others.
Romans 15:7 Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you,
for the glory of God.
