Let’s Taco ’Bout Fellowship!
After Class Lunch – Sunday, March 1

The lesson may end at noon… but the conversation doesn’t have to. This Sunday, March 1, we’re heading to Los Tios Mexican Restaurant – San Felipe for our After Class Lunch. Great food. Warm chips. Even warmer fellowship. Whether you’re new to Foundations Class or have been with us for years, this is one of the best ways to connect, laugh, and deepen friendships beyond Sunday morning. No RSVP needed — just come hungry and join us!
Commitment Sunday:
One Class. One Heart. One Mission.

March 1, 2026 is more than a date — it’s a declaration.

On Commitment Sunday, our Foundations Class will join together in faith as part of Houston’s First Baptist Church’s Kingdom Come initiative. This is a moment to prayerfully respond and step forward together in unity.

Action Step #1: Bring Your Commitment. Come prepared with your commitment card as an act of worship and trust in what God will do through His people. Action

Step #2: Wear Your Shirt. Let’s turn the room blue! Wear your “Kingdom Come” T-shirt as a visible reminder that we stand together — one class, one heart, one mission.

This Sunday is about more than a pledge. It’s about alignment. It’s about legacy. It’s about advancing God’s Kingdom together with courage and joy. Let’s fill the room with faith.

When God Writes the Story
Charlotte Duncan’s Testimony – A Front Row Seat to His Faithfulness

This Sunday, Charlotte Duncan will lead our lesson time — not with theory, but with testimony.

In a powerful account of God’s unmistakable hand at work, Charlotte shares the story of a young family who longed for a child. After years of waiting, their baby arrived on June 14 — just days after another placement was needed. What seemed like timing and logistics quickly revealed something much deeper: divine orchestration .

When financial barriers stood in the way of adoption, a phone call came. Every expense — covered. Completely. No fundraising campaign. No desperate scrambling. Just provision.

And then came the moment that says it all.

The new mother shared, “This is the first Father’s Day in five years my husband is not going to be sad.”

Charlotte describes sitting between them on the couch as the father prayed over his baby — a prayer that this child would love Jesus, be surrounded by angels, and be raised in faith . It was not coincidence. It was not luck. It was God’s hand.

This Sunday will not simply be a testimony about adoption. It will be a reminder that:

God’s timing is precise.
God’s provision is complete.
God’s purposes are personal.

Come ready to be encouraged. Come ready to see how prayer matters. And come ready to praise the God whose hands are still “all over” the details of our lives .

You won’t want to miss this one.

Apples of Gold:
A Song That Captures Our Mission

Our new Foundations Class theme, “Apples of Gold,” is inspired by Proverbs 25:11 — “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.”

This song beautifully expresses who we are. The apples of gold represent the life-giving truth of Scripture. The settings of silver reflect the strong fellowship and structure that hold that truth high in our class.

In a busy, noisy Houston week, Foundations remains our staging ground of grace—anchored in Christ, grounded in doctrine, and committed to reaching every Houston face.

It’s more than music.
It’s our mission set to melody.
