Pastor’s message March 22,
The Garden of Gethsemane: The Soil, the Weeds, and the Blessing
In the Garden of Gethsemane, we see the power of surrender. Just as olives are crushed to produce oil, Jesus was pressed under unimaginable weight—yet from that crushing came blessing for the world. His prayer, “Not my will, but Yours be done,” declares that true strength is found in surrender to God’s perfect plan. And when we face our own crushing moments, we don’t rely on ourselves—we follow His example: we pray, we surrender, and we trust completely in God.
Bill Wright’s lesson, Sunday March 22, 2026: “The Troubles of Life,” walked us honestly through the frustrations, injustices, and disappointments of life under the sun—but not without hope. Drawing from Ecclesiastes 3:16–4:16, Bill reminded us that while we cannot control life, we can choose how we respond: with trust in God, gratitude in the present, and dependence on the relationships He provides.
With warmth, humor, and insight, he challenged the class to stop obsessing over the future, to rejoice in the work God has given us, and to remember that chasing money, power, or control never satisfies. He also highlighted the strength found in companionship—that two are better than one—and urged us to build the kind of relationships that help carry us through trouble.
It was a timely and practical lesson for all of us: in a troubled world, God calls us not to panic, but to live wisely, gratefully, and faithfully—trusting Him in the middle of life’s troubles.
This Sunday, join Butch & Karen Butcher as they lead us into “Wealth, Worry, and True Gain” (Ecclesiastes 5:8–20)—a timely and practical look at what truly satisfies the heart.
In a world that constantly pushes us to chase more, Solomon reminds us that wealth often increases worry, not peace. So where is real gain found? Not in accumulation—but in contentment, gratitude, and receiving God’s gifts with joy.
Come discover how to live free from worry and rich in what truly matters.
A quiet night alone? Not this time! Solo Mio is all about the unexpected—and it’s even better when shared.

Walking Together Through Future Grace
This month we pause to review Section I from February and look ahead to Section II: Free and Future Grace for March. Together we are learning that grace is not only God’s gift for the past, but His strength for the days still ahead.
March’s reading points us toward deeper dependence on the Lord, reminding us that His grace is sufficient for weary hearts, humble faith, and every step yet to come.
