Newsletter February 22 2025

🧭Exciting news, Foundations Friends! Our journey together continues, and we’re setting our course toward a new meeting location starting Sunday, March 2, 2025!
Over the years, we’ve navigated different stops along the way—from the Library in June 2021 to Fellowship Room D in January 2022—and now, it’s time for another shift.
Why the move? The class before us has grown beyond 100+ in attendance, and to support their continued expansion, the church is opening Fellowship Rooms C & D for their use. But this isn’t the end of our journey—it’s a fresh path forward! Church leadership is actively charting the best location for our class, and will reveal our new destination before we gather again on Sunday, March 2nd. Let’s step forward in faith, trusting God’s direction for our next stop! Stay tuned for updates!✨
šŸ“¢ Foundations Class – A New Sunday Classroom Setup Plan This Week!

Exciting changes are coming to Fellowship Center D, and we want YOU to be part of the smooth transition!
To accommodate both Life Bible Study classes using our space, our classroom will be transformed from theater seating to tables before we meet at 10:35.
 Here’s how it will work:
šŸ”¹ The Third-Quarter class will finish at 10:25, and its members will be asked to move to The Lawn for refreshments and fellowship while the transformation takes place.
šŸ”¹ The setup team will clear chairs and set up tables for our Foundations Class.
šŸ”¹ At 10:35, a designated leader will invite us in to begin class in our newly arranged classroom.
 How You Can Help:
āœ… Plan to arrive early and enjoy fellowship on The Lawn before class begins.
āœ… Be patient as the transformation happens—this will allow us to focus on learning, connection, and growing together in Christ. We appreciate your support in making this transition smooth and effective.

They explored how biblical principles have shaped society, the historical warnings from leaders like John Adams, and the struggles of applying these commandments in modern life—from social media-driven coveting to the challenge of honoring the Sabbath in a fast-paced world. Listeners engaged with thought-provoking questions, while scripture, humor, and real-life insights made for a compelling conversation. The takeaway? God’s law isn’t just ancient history—it’s a guide for life today. This episode is available here:

Discovering Our Purpose: Aligning Spiritual Gifts for 2025 and Beyond

John Harrington led Foundations Class with an interactive and strategic session focused on aligning our spiritual gifts with God’s purpose for 2025 and beyond. The discussion centered on creating meaningful connections—with God, each other, and a greater purpose—despite life’s busyness. He emphasized the importance of belonging, family, and finding our "sweet spot"—the unique place where our passions, abilities, and the world’s needs align. Using an engaging group exercise, attendees reflected on their spiritual gifts and how they can be applied in service to others. The session reinforced that God has designed each of us to be effective, and by embracing our gifts, we can make a lasting impact in our church and community.  The lesson Video, Notes, and Outline Summary of the 6 Roundtable Discussion Reports are below: Class Lesson Handouts:

Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts: Serving is the Key to Growth!

Sunday's Lesson on Spiritual Gifts by John Harrington is available on video and summarized below:
This week’s lesson explored the power of serving in ministry as a catalyst for spiritual growth. Recognizing and stepping into our spiritual gifts allows God to work through us, strengthening the body of Christ. Participants shared "ministry moments," highlighting how God moves in everyday interactions. The lesson emphasized trusting God’s leading, embracing opportunities to serve, and discovering how our unique gifts shape our purpose. Looking ahead, we’ll continue identifying our spiritual strengths and finding our ministry ā€œsweet spotā€ to maximize impact. Be sure to take the short survey to prepare for this week's session!
