Sunday's Special Lesson:
From Tragedy to Triumph:
A Testimony of Forgiveness That’s Changing Lives
This past Sunday’s Foundations Class was one we won’t soon forget. Helen Perry Simpkins and her brother John Sage shared their powerful testimony of loss, healing, and the miraculous journey that followed the murder of their sister Marilyn. With heartfelt transparency, they invited us into the pain of their grief, the depth of their struggle, and the incredible work God has done through their suffering.
John described how God used this darkest valley to lead him through seven life-changing steps—surrender, humility, acceptance, gratitude, love, forgiveness, and service—which ultimately birthed the prison ministry Bridges to Life. Since its founding in 1998, this faith-based reconciliation program has reached over 87,000 inmates across 17 states and five countries, reducing recidivism and restoring hearts through the power of forgiveness and God’s love.
Helen reminded us that “half of life is showing up.” Their story taught us that just being present—in times of grief, in places of need, in the lives of the least of these—can open the door to healing. Thank you, Helen and John, for allowing your deepest sorrow to become a source of hope for others.

Behind Closed Doors:
This week, Rand Wall takes us deep into the Seventh Commandment:
Exodus 20:14“You shall not commit adultery”.
More than a prohibition, this command is a call to covenant faithfulness—mirroring God’s unshakable loyalty to His people.
From shocking statistics to real-world stories of broken trust, Rand will unpack the ripple effects of infidelity—not just in marriage, but in heart and thought. Drawing from The Pursuit of Holiness by Jerry Bridges, we’ll explore how resisting temptation is not passive—it’s a Spirit-empowered decision of the will.
Whether you’re married, single, widowed, or simply walking with someone through a broken past, this lesson is for you. Come be reminded that God’s grace is bigger than our failure—and His holiness is not just possible, it’s powerful.
Don’t miss it. This one will speak to the heart—and strengthen the will.
