"June Reflections” — A Season of Peace, Purpose, and Praise
The summer meadow in "June Reflections" reminds us of God’s faithful presence in every season—bright, welcoming, and full of life. Just as wildflowers bloom beneath the warmth of the sun, our Foundations class flourished throughout June.
Anchored by John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you… let not your hearts be troubled,” and the strength of El Shaddai, our God Almighty, we shared meaningful moments of fellowship and spiritual growth.
From the joy of Movie Night, to the encouragement and testimony shared at the Ladies Living Water event, June was a month of planting seeds of peace and purpose. May those seeds continue to grow as we walk into July—together, faithful, and refreshed.

Christ Is Enough: Walking from Darkness Into Light
Sunday, Bill Wright led us through a powerful teaching from Colossians 1:13–18a, a passage proclaiming the absolute supremacy of Christ. With heartfelt stories and practical insights, Bill reminded us that Christ is not just part of our salvation—He is all of it. From prison letters to mission fields, from generational struggles to modern heresies, we were challenged to remember: Christ delivers, redeems, and reigns.
Whether it's walking in spiritual light, engaging in unseen battles, or surrendering fully to God’s call, the message is clear—Christ is not safe, but He is good.
Watch or rewatch the lesson and reflect on how Christ holds all things together—even your life.
All of Him in All of Me:
Proclaiming Christ with Purpose
This week, Bill Wright will guide us through Colossians 1:18b–29, a passage pulsing with Paul’s passion for Christ and the church. Together, we’ll explore what it means that Christ is not just first—He is preeminent in everything.
From the fullness of God dwelling in Jesus to the mystery now revealed—“Christ in you, the hope of glory”—this lesson calls us to proclaim Him boldly, suffer willingly, and serve joyfully. Bill’s teaching will remind us that the goal is not comfort, but completion: to present every person mature in Christ.
Come ready to be encouraged, challenged, and freshly inspired to let “all of Him” live through “all of you.”

This month, our Foundations Class is focusing on John 14:27 as our scripture memory verse:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
What a powerful promise to rest in—especially as we also meditate on our June Name of God: El Shaddai, meaning “God Almighty.”
In every season and circumstance, our peace flows from the One who is all-sufficient and unshakably strong. Let this truth anchor our heart and inspire our prayers as we grow together in faith.

Rooted in Faith, Growing in Grace
This past Sunday, Danny Reid’s lesson from Colossians 1:3–12 reminded us of Paul’s powerful prayer for a church he had never met—affirming their faith, love, and hope. Rather than offering a to-do list, Paul prayed for spiritual growth, wisdom, and endurance. Danny challenged us to follow that example: to seek God’s will, live lives worthy of Christ, and grow together in grace and truth.
Watch the video below to be encouraged and inspired by this message of faith and spiritual maturity.
Christ Above All: Discovering His Supreme Authority
This Sunday, Bill Wright will lead us through Colossians 1:13–18a, where Paul boldly proclaims the unmatched supremacy of Christ. Written to confront false teachings in the Colossian church, this passage reminds us that Jesus is not only the image of the invisible God, but the very power behind creation, the purpose of all existence, and the head of the church.
Paul’s words dismantle every claim that something more is needed beyond Christ for salvation. Jesus is enough—He is before all things, holds all things together, and reigns over every corner of creation.
Join us this week as we explore the greatness of Christ and the deep assurance that comes from being part of His eternal kingdom.

As we step into the warmth of summer, our class turns its focus to the name El Shaddai—God Almighty. Like the steady waves and vast skies captured in this peaceful beach scene, El Shaddai reminds us of God's boundless strength and nurturing presence. In every season, He is more than enough. Let His power and provision refresh your soul this June.

When Grace Greets You:
A Letter That Changes Everything
This past Sunday, Jeff Pennington opened our summer journey through Colossians with a powerful look at part of the opening chapter —yet what a start it was!
With clarity and conviction, Jeff reminded us that Paul’s introduction wasn’t a formality—it was a declaration of identity, authority, and purpose. We explored the dangers of false teaching in a confused culture, the deep transformation of Paul’s life, and the gentle strength Timothy brought alongside him. Above all, we were invited to see that grace and peace aren't just theological terms—they are gifts from our Heavenly Father, extended through Christ to every believer.
Whether you were in class or missed the lesson, this is one to watch and reflect on. Start your week with encouragement and truth.
Watch Jeff Pennington’s lesson below and be blessed by the greeting that changed a church—and can still change hearts today.
When Faith Bears Fruit: A Prayer Worth Imitating
This Sunday, Danny Reid leads us through Colossians 1:3–12—a powerful section where Paul doesn’t just teach truth, he prays it. As the early church wrestled with competing voices and cultural pressures, Paul’s prayer reminded them—and reminds us—that the preeminence of Christ is not just doctrine, it’s personal.
Together, we’ll explore how faith, love, and hope work together to shape a vibrant Christian life, how the gospel continues to bear fruit, and how spiritual growth is rooted in knowing God’s will. You’ll be challenged to pray bigger, live deeper, and stand firmer in Christ.
Come discover the kind of prayer that reshapes a church. Don’t miss Danny’s lesson this Sunday!

Why We’re Here: A Timely Reflection on Our Purpose
In the rhythm of weekly gatherings, it’s easy to forget our deeper purpose. But our Life Bible Study class exists for more than fellowship — we are here to:
Reach. Teach. Win. Disciple.
This mission aligns directly with Jesus’ Great Commission:
“Go and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19–20).
We’re called to action — not passivity.
We’re here to Reach the lost, Teach truth, Win hearts, and Disciple one another in Christ.
This week, ask God to place one person on your heart to reach out to — with a text, a visit, an invitation to class, or a prayer. Make the mission personal.
Let’s not just attend class — let’s live the Commission.
Life Bible Study: Where purpose meets action.

Drop it in the mail or hand it over with a handwritten note in the address section—a small gesture that can open big doors for the Gospel.
Let’s keep sharing the Good News—one postcard at a time.
This month, our Foundations Class is focusing our hearts and minds on the words of Jesus in John 14:27, our Scripture Memory Verse for June:
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. – John 14:27
What a timely reminder in a world full of anxiety, distractions, and uncertainty. Jesus offers a peace that is personal, present, and powerful—a peace that calms the troubled heart and drives out fear.
As we meditate on this verse throughout the month, let’s also remember our Name of God focus: El Shaddai—God Almighty. He is not only all-powerful but also tender and near, able to calm every storm and strengthen every step.
Let this be your encouragement this week:
Memorize John 14:27 and carry it with you throughout your day.
Pray using the name El Shaddai, trusting His power to bring peace.
Share this verse with someone who needs the comfort of Christ’s presence.
Together, let’s grow in faith, peace, and confidence—because our God is mighty, and His Word is true.

From Rome to Colossae:
Richard Battle Brings Paul’s Story to Life
Last week, our Foundations Class launched the Summer Colossians Study with an unforgettable opening lesson from Richard Battle. With warmth, humor, and insight, Richard transported us from the streets of modern-day Rome to the heart of Paul’s prison cell—where the letter to the Colossians was written.
Drawing from Trish and Richard's recent travels, they shared photos, stories, and Scripture that brought fresh perspective to Paul's transformation and calling. If you missed it, or want to experience it again, we encourage you to watch the video and let your heart be stirred by Paul’s bold faith and Christ’s unmatched sufficiency.
