New Series Begins This Sunday: Psalm 23
This Sunday, September 14, we begin a brand-new Bible Study series on one of the most loved passages in all of Scripture—Psalm 23. Our own Carol Pierce will open the series, guiding us into the richness of David’s words, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” Together, we’ll explore how this psalm has comforted God’s people for generations and how it still speaks to our lives today. Don’t miss this special start as we journey verse by verse through Psalm 23 in the weeks ahead!

Truth Talk Launches New Series: Psalm 23 – The Shepherd’s Song
for Every Season
This Sunday, our Foundations Class begins a brand-new series on the beloved 23rd Psalm. In a podcast-style introduction, Butch and Richard set the stage with stories, history, and reflections on how this psalm has shaped lives from childhood to old age.
The lesson also featured a painting by Karen, created years ago through the church’s Imago art ministry, and Trish’s childhood memories of helping her grandfather herd sheep. Together, these reminders pointed us back to the tender reality that the Lord not only paints beauty into our lives but also calls us, like sheep, to know and follow the Shepherd’s voice.
Psalm 23 isn’t just for funerals—it’s a discipleship psalm that walks us through life’s seasons: trust in youth, rest in a restless world, grace in our failures, comfort in crisis, blessings to share, and the eternal hope of dwelling with the Lord. Over the next six weeks, our gifted teachers will lead us verse by verse through this timeless passage.
Come ready to listen for the Shepherd’s voice and discover the fresh gifts this psalm still offers today.
The next stop on the Men’s BBQ Trail is set for September 25 at 11:20 AM at Goode Co. BBQ, located at 8911 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77024.
