God Our Shepherd (Yahweh Roi / Jehovah Raah)

Scripture Memory Verse for October 2025

1 Peter 1:3 (ESV)

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

This month, we rejoice in knowing God Our Shepherd—

Just as a shepherd tends his flock with care, God walks closely with us, guiding us through every valley and over every hill with steadfast mercy.

Our memory verse from 1 Peter 1:3 reminds us that our Shepherd has given us a living hope—not a fragile wish, but a confident assurance grounded in the resurrection of Christ. Through Him, we are reborn into a life marked by purpose, renewal, and peace that endures.

May we walk this month with grateful hearts, following the Shepherd who leads us with compassion and grace.

Sunday Carol Pierce taught
 From Eden to Eternity:
A Glimpse of The New Paradise

Sunday, Carol Pierce led the Foundations Class through a powerful study of *Revelation 22, revealing the beauty of The New Paradise — God’s perfect restoration of all things. She contrasted the lost paradise of Eden with the coming new heaven and earth, where the Tree of Life and River of God flow freely and God’s people reign with Him forever.

Carol reminded us that God’s work of creation isn’t finished — one day, He will make all things new, bringing us from the Garden of Eden to the City of God. The lesson notes are available below:

This Week
Overflowing Blessings:
The Table God Prepares

This Sunday, Rand Wall will guide the Foundations Class through Psalm 23:5, a verse overflowing with meaning and grace: “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”

Rand will explore how God’s goodness isn’t reserved for peaceful times—it shines brightest even in the presence of life’s challenges. We’ll discover how the Shepherd prepares, anoints, and fills our cup until it overflows with His abundant care.

Join us for this powerful study as we continue our journey through Psalm 23 and celebrate the overflowing blessings that come from walking with our Shepherd.
